Distillation is the single most effective method of purifying water for pure water production and all other types of water that may be produced.


Distilled water is known as the water that has been to a point known as the boiling point so that impurities can be separated from it, which later becomes vapor or steam and it is condensed back into pure liquid form. It contains virtually no solids, minerals or trace elements. Distilled water is clean, natural and healthy.
The various mode of purification of water which are the Reverse Osmosis, Ultra Violet Light Filtration, and Distillation.
The reverse osmosis is one of the most widely used and easier to install and it produces water with the highest level of purity.
Ultra violet is widely used in Nigeria, cheap but not that effective. You should be able to choose the best based on effectiveness (its function and cost).

5. Automatic Sealing Machine: This is needed in the massive production of the pure water as it aids the quantity to be produced daily. You would need just one or two for the medium size scale except if you are planning a big production plant in which you would be needing about three of the machine. The automatic sealing machine is high in precision packing; it can automatically complete filling, sealing, printing, cutting and counting. It is controlled by a microprocessor and an automatic photocell.

6. Supply Truck: This is as important as the machine used for the production of the pure water. If this is not available, it certainly means there would be little or no supply of water to customers and that in turn means a very low income for the business. Also, it advisable to get a good, efficient and reliable vehicle for the transport of the pure water so as to avoid regular breakdown of it and that would also result to extra cost affecting the budget.

7. Staffing: Human resource is the life and backbone that drives the mechanism of any business especially in production. It is one of the most sensitive aspect of the business and one must be careful in the selection of staffs or colleagues to work or partner with. At least you would be needing an Operator, a Marketer, Three Packagers, a Cleaner, a Driver and one Attending loader, Two Security men, a Cashier and a Manager.

8. Approval from the Regulatory Body: There is only one regulatory body in Nigeria which is known as NAFDAC; National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control. Before production starts at your factory, you should visit this office to obtain and fill the forms that would be provided. For certification, the process takes between 3 – 6 months before one could kickstart production.
